When Your MIND Is The Enemy

Did you know that thinking too much is a VICE?
In fact Thomas Aquinas defines overthinking as a form of effeminacy.

Effeminacy is "an attachment to pleasure and aversion to pain."

When men make decisions that are based on pleasure seeking rather than being purpose driven... they're being effeminate.

Intellectual effeminacy (over thinking) is indulging in mental masturbation.

It "feels good" to think.

To stop thinking (when you are stressed) is a challenge, its hard to do.

Thinking gives us a sense of power, the feeling that we're in control.
"If only I could THINK my way out of this problem."

"If I just THINK a little bit longer, a little bit harder...
my problems will be solved".
Very rarely does this actually work.

Why?

Because most men's thinking is chaotic.

Their thinking is just another activity that wastes time, drains energy... spinning wheels but going nowhere.
Grounded thinking.

Logical thinking.

Fruitful thinking... is an ACTION.

Not an activity.

ACTION THINKING comes from a calm mind, stillness... not from a frantic, fearful, panicked monkey-mind.
Bright ideas, insights, solutions and illumination COME TO US... they're not found, foraged or fought for.

We receive them.

I know this sounds crazy but your best ideas and solutions come to you when you are relaxed... not overthinking.

I once heard that Henry Ford (inventor of the modern automobile) would regularly row his boat out to the middle of a lake near his house.

Then, he'd lay down in the boat and WAIT.

What was he waiting for?
  • Ideas.
  • Solutions.
  • Innovations.
I'm not 100% sure WHY or HOW this works, I just know that it does.

Think about a time when you couldn't find something. You were searching all over and could not find it.

Then, when you least expect it, when you've stopped looking, when you've given up and relaxed... the thing appears!
Have you ever found yourself overthinking?

How do you feel when you’re overthinking?

Are you addicted to the panicked feeling of active thinking?

Are you addicted to the feeling of being in control?

Has it ever actually been fruitful?

Are you ready to start taking ACTION?
If so, then the first thing you need to do is STOP.
Clear your mind and allow the ideas to come to you.
Give it a try.

Let me know how it goes.

PS - I'm working on something new and amazing.

It's called KING INITIATION.

Its for men who are ready "clean the slate", drive away demons and addictions (like overthinking etc)... and finally become the strongest version of themselves.

If that sounds like you, stay tuned.

I think you're going to love this.

In the meantime, I think it would be good for you to get familiar with "rational fasting".

It's going to be a big part of the work you and I'll be doing together soon.
