Dear Elliott,
I am an independent businessman that has literally built my business from a $10.00 bill. Last year we grossed 1.3 million. Not too bad from a one-man operation, working from his basement, with zero overhead.
I have been one of the lucky ones, Elliott.
Elliott, you have been inspiring me since the early days of "Yo Elliott" on YouTube! It is because of you that I could see a path forward when I began exploring ideas for independent entrepreneurship. Thanks to eBay and its selling format, I was able to start taking the beginning steps toward small business ownership.
Your constant "can do" messages were sometimes the deciding factor on if I should go out drinking with friends or continue working. Obviously, I chose the latter most times (thank you for that).
Elliott, I listened to you and began shedding friends that were not really friends.
I listened to you considering finding a life partner (my wife and I have been married for 18 years now and have 2 wonderful children).
I listened to you when I was exhausted and didn't think I could get to the gym (but I got there anyhow).
I listened to your message of optimism and I heard you, sir. Your message and mentorship are more important than you may imagine (not just to me but too many).
Elliott, I found an idea that I "built" for myself at first and soon began sharing it with others.
That idea coupled with your words and my drive has landed me where I am today:
- 100% debt free,
- with a wonderful and loving family,
- a beautiful home,
- cash in hand,
- a job I love,
- investments for my children,
- and soon a small hobby farm in my lower field (my latest life goal).
Elliott, your idea of sharing your thoughts with others has influenced my path more than you will ever know. Your life has been a beacon to many people, I am sure. You have not wasted a second of your journey and I feel privileged to share my story with you.
Thank you, Elliott; not only for what you have done for me but for what you continue to do for others every day.
You are the mentor more men need in their life - keep moving forward, Elliott!
This world needs more men like you.
